Not According to Plan

Okay, so we hit a few road blocks on our move to West Jordan! We will not be closing on April 23 and we will not be moving next week, even though half the house is already packed! Let me explain. First the "S" family is buying our house, nice couple, really! But they are also selling their home in West Jordan (Yes, we are switching places, weird, I know!). Well the "J" family is buying the "S" family's house. Mrs. "J" is on maternity leave until April 21 and the lender needs a pay check stub from her before the loan can go through. She does not get paid until May 12th. So we had to move our closing date to May 16th. Now keep in mind my brother's wedding is May 24 in Los Angeles and I'm doing all the decorations, flowers, and food. So we are heading down May 21. That's right folks! Our house in West Jordan will probably fund on May 20! But I was not about to move the day before our big, stressful trip to California! So we had to do some creative persuading and we will still close on May 16th but we will not be actually moving from our home until May 27! And to make it even more fun, Michael leaves on May 30 for a week long business trip in Florida. Crazy I know! But all parties have agreed to these dates and (crossing fingers) the deal should go through! I guess we won't know until we have keys in hand but here's to hoping! Wish us luck!
