The Cast is OFF!

Ian got his cast taken off today! He was so excited to go in to the doctor's office. He skipped all the way down the hall! He was a little nervous when she turned the saw on but he was so brave. He just watched intently as she cut into the cast. He had a hard time pulling his arm out but once it was free he had a big smile.

We are so glad that everything healed well and NO MORE CAST! Which is a good thing considering what we woke up to on Sunday Morning:

We were lucky that the weather had been so pleasant the last 4 weeks, because Ian's cast would not fit in his coat or most of his long sleeve shirts! So we got it off just in time for winter to come--wait, did I just say winter? It's October! That's Utah weather for you!

Woo Hoo!! for the little guy. Look at his brave, interested, cute face in those pictures. What a tough kid. I am not ready for winter, take it back.

Morgan saw Ian yesterday and yelled, "Mom, Ian doesn't have his cast any more, isn't that great?" I'm glad his arm is doing well, and that you survived!

Did his little arm seem tiny after they took it off? I never thought of the whole winter dynamic with the cast. I bet that is a huge relief.

Love the pictures! What a photogenik (I don't know how to spell) little boy. I love the first snow of the season! Nothing better.
